Mariann Prendergast, age 85, of Indian Head Park; formerly of Chicago and Evergreen Park, passed away peacefully at home April 27, 2025.  The beloved wife of the late Thomas James Prendergast, Jr.; loving mother of Thomas James (Kathy) Prendergast, III; daughter of the late Harold & the late Margaret Mahlum; dear sister of the late Richard Mahlum, the late Harold (Barbara) Mahlum, Jr., & the late James (Kathy) Mahlum;  fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Mariann was extremely active and enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and boating with family and friends.  She was an influential member of the Oak Lawn Garden Club, possessing a keen sense of colors and shapes to create magnificent garden landscapes.

The family expresses its sincere gratitude to Mariann’s loyal and compassionate caregivers, Adaora, Lutiana and Mary.

Memorial donations in Mariann’s name to the Pleasantview Firefighters Association at 1970 Plainfield Road, LaGrange Highlands, IL 60525 are dearly appreciated for their dedicated care and committed services.

Funeral services for Mariann are being held privately.
